We lived through puberty- we’re adults now, so this acne business isn’t supposed to happen anymore. Right?
Breakouts can be random, but more often than not, your body is trying to tell you something. This is a general guide to what could be causing your breakout.
& 3: Digestive System. Stay away from processed junk and up your water intake. Eat clean, whole foods.
Liver. This might be a good time to try that cleanse you’ve always been curious about. Eliminate the alcohol and greasy goods asap. Adequate sleep and exercise help too.
& 10: Kidneys. Drink up! Water, that is. Cut the caffeine and alcohol pronto.
& 9: Respiratory System. This is most often caused by smoking or allergies. Ditch the grits and read your ingredient labels more carefully. If neither of those apply, eat more alkalizing foods like green veggies and wheatgrass. Be wary of dirty phones, pillowcases, et al, and don’t touch your face.
& 8: Kidneys. Any problematic skin issues in the eye area point to dehydration. Drink water consistently.
Heart. Blood pressure and Vitamin B are important and could play a role in this type of breakout. Avoid meat and spicy foods. Eat more omegas that exist in nuts, avocado, fish, and flax seed. Double check that your make up or skincare isn’t expired as this is a common culprit.
& 13: Hormones. This is the signature stress zone. Don’t underestimate proper hydration and a good night’s sleep. Oh, and eat your veggies!
Stomach. Add a bit more fiber to your diet and try peppermint tea to ease digestion.
Illness. Your body may be trying to fight bacteria and prevent you from getting sick. Take some you-time to just relax and let your body do the rest.
